Unfortunately, I had to take a blogging hiatus because my newish laptop said “hasta la vista baby” after just three months in my possession. I’m no computer genius, but I honestly didn’t do anything wrong. The computer technician tried to convince me that the weather gods were responsible for the damage. He claimed that the laptop received an electric shock. Fortunately, that couldn’t be verified and consequently, my warranty kicked in and I had to pay nada for the repair job (almost 800 Euros!!! in damages) – phew!

Amazing Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins
I am so happy that the weather is slowly, but steadily, getting better. Finally, we have more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Most of my friends know my ridiculous theory that the weather is always good during a FIFA World Cup- or UEFA European Championship summer. That means that this summer will be FANTASTIQUE! C’est cool!!!

Delicious Rhubarb Walnut Bread
I haven’t had much luck with baking lately. For the past week and a half, I have been struggling with a chocolate chip cookie recipe. Chocolate chip cookie recipe!?!? Yup! I have already made countless batches. Either the taste was off or the appearance was less than desirable or both.
